Here you'll find answers to the most common questions we receive about our hotel and restaurant. If you can't find the answer to your question here, please don't hesitate to contact us directly.
Check-in & Check-out
Check-in
Check-inbegins at 3:00 p.m. When you check in, you must present your booking confirmation or a valid form of identification; if you do not have these, you may be denied accommodation.
Is there anything wrong with your accommodations? Please contact the front desk immediately, but no later than 11:00 a.m. on the day after your arrival.
Inspection
Check-out is no later than 11:00 a.m. for all rooms; this time cannot be changed.
Apartments – We clean and inspect the apartment during the day, and you do not need to be present. If you’d like to leave earlier, that’s fine.
Final Cleaning
Cleaning is not included in our apartment rates, but you can purchase this service if you wish—however, you must do so no later than two days before departure. If you purchase final cleaning, check-out must be completed by 10:00 a.m.
Extra Beds
We do not offer extra beds in our accommodations. Only children under 3 years of age are allowed to share a bed with a parent.
Hotel Room
- For insurance reasons—maximum of 2 people. Please let us know if there are more than 2 of you.
- We reserve the right to refuse accommodation if there are more than 2 people staying in the same room
- At least one person over the age of 18 per room—no children's rooms allowed
Apartments
- No more people per apartment than there are beds.
- Crib rental available; please contact us before arrival
Good to Know
In our double rooms, the beds are made; in our apartments, bed linens and towels are not included, but you can purchase them if you wish.
Iron
Available for loan in the guest laundry room; please ask at the front desk.
Smoking
All apartments and rooms are smoke-free.
Laundromat
Available for rent: 150 SEK/2 hours
Pets
Pets are allowed only in apartments where they are permitted. There is a pet fee of 250 SEK per dog per day—this can only be booked directly with the hotel.
Booking Terms and Conditions
If you have booked accommodations through another booking agent or received a confirmation from another party, that party’s specific booking terms and conditions apply, and we refer any questions regarding cancellations, refunds, etc., to the booking agent from whom you received your confirmation.
Internet and Telephony
Telia, Tele2, and Tre offer good 2G and 3G coverage in Klövsjö. Telia also offers 4G coverage. See each operator’s website for detailed information.
Wireless Internet, Wi-Fi
Wireless Internet is free for our guests in all rooms, apartments, and in the restaurant and pub.

Communications
Trains to
You can book a trip to Vemdalen from several locations in Sweden. Search on sj.se and select one of Vemdalen’s terminal stations: Björnrike Centrat, Vemdalen by, Vemdalsskalet, Storhogna Högfjällshotell, Hotell Klövsjöfjäll, or Röjan station. Shuttle buses or local buses connect to these terminal stations. You’ll need to change trains in Mora or Östersund.
Vemdalen’s local bus service, the Snöpendeln, connects with all train departures and arrivals at Röjan Station, taking passengers to all three of Vemdalen’s ski areas.
If you'd like to book only the train trip without the shuttle bus for the last 5 km to the hotel, search for the Röjan station.
However, if you’d like the shuttle bus to be included in your ticket price and to be taken all the way to the hotel entrance, search for a trip to the destination “Klövsjö Ski Area.” If you’re traveling a long distance, there are also night trains from Malmö and Gothenburg, among other places.
The Snow Shuttle
During peak season, local buses run between Klövsjöfjäll and Vemdalen. The so-called Snow Shuttle serves Björnrike, Vemdalen village, Vemdalsskalet, Storhogna, the Klövsjö ski area, Klövsjö village, and Röjan station. The schedule will be available soon!
Please feel free to purchase your ticket in advance using your cell phone; see below. The SkiPass is not valid as a transportation ticket.
Mobile Ticket
Search for “Länstrafiken Jämtland” in your phone’s App Store. Before purchasing your first ticket
You must select a payment method: credit card or invoice account through Klarna. After this initial registration—which you can complete in advance—purchases are made using a simple code or with the push of a button.
Hourly and daily passes for adults and teens are available for purchase on the Snöpendeln. You must purchase the ticket before boarding the bus and keep it on your phone for the entire trip. The ticket is valid only on the phone used to purchase it. The ticket shows how long it is valid.
While valid, the mobile ticket is green and animated. If the ticket is red, it is invalid.

Parking, engine heaters, and charging stations
Parking at the
Parking is available next to the hotel, on the other side of the road from the entrance. Loading and unloading are permitted only at the hotel entrance and the entrance to the apartments.
Engine Heaters
We have a limited number of engine heater posts available for our hotel guests; these cannot be reserved. Charging electric or hybrid vehicles is NOT permitted at these stations!
Charging Stations
We have a few charging stations for electric cars—these cannot be reserved. Access cards can be purchased at the front desk for 175 SEK per 3 hours; power output options are 16 and 22.
Miscellaneous
ATM
• ICA offers cash withdrawals.
• We are a cashless facility. Payment by card or Swish only.
Pharmacy
•There is a pharmacy in Svenstavik, about 3.5 mil away.
Health Care
• First aid is available at the hotel.
• The nearest health center is in Svenstavik, and there is a hospital in Östersund. There is also a doctor’s office at Hovde Hotell in Vemdalsskalet, with walk-in hours at set times.

Shops and Rentals
• At the front desk, we sell a variety of convenience store items, candy, soft drinks, and personal care products
• There is an ICA in the village of Klövsjö.
• A sports store with ski rentals is located on the ground floor of the hotel; please book your rental in advance via the website

Our apartments and double rooms offer the following channels:
SVT1, SVT2, TV3, TV4, Kanal 5, Kanal 6, UR/SVTB, BBC World, Viasat Nature, Kanal 10, Viasat Sport, and the hotel’s own information channel.
