Getting Here
It’s easy to travel to Klövsjö from anywhere in Sweden. Drive all the way there, take the train to Vemdalen, or fly to Östersund. With a transfer by bus, taxi, or rental car, you’ll soon be in the mountains.
Train
Trains depart from towns throughout Sweden every day during the ski season. Choose the overnight train for an extra-convenient trip and wake up well-rested at your destination in the morning. You can take the Snöpendeln local buses from the train station to Klövsjö. Snälltåget’s schedule also makes it easy to plan a short week or a weekend getaway.

Flights
Fly to Åre Östersund Airport to get there quickly. The flight time from Stockholm is 1 hour and 15 minutes. Several airlines offer direct flights from major cities such as Stockholm, Gothenburg, Malmö, Copenhagen, Berlin, and London. You can cover the remaining 10 mil to Klövsjö by taxi or rental car.

Car
If you choose to travel by car, there are many nice places to stop along the way. The trip from Stockholm on the E4 is about 470 kilometers. For electric car drivers, there is a well-developed charging infrastructure along the route, and there are 8 charging stations available in the hotel parking lot. There are also two fast chargers in the village of Klövsjö.

Transfer to Klövsjö
For those arriving by train or plane, there are several transfer options. Please note that if you’re arriving on the Snälltåget overnight train to Vemdalen and have booked a ticket to the Klövsjö ski area, a shuttle bus is included during the winter season. The connecting bus ride from the station to Hotell Klövsjöfjäll takes about 20 minutes.
Bus
With the Härjedalingen direct bus, you can travel year-round from Stockholm to Klövsjö/Vemdalen. The trip takes about 7.5 hours, including a stop for coffee and a snack.

The Snow Commuter
During the winter season, local buses run between Klövsjöfjäll and Vemdalen. The so-called “Snow Commuter” serves Björnrike, Vemdalen village, Vemdalsskalet, Storhogna, the Klövsjö ski area, Klövsjö village, and Röjan Station. The current schedule will be posted soon.
Taxi
Taxi Klövsjö/Vemdalen offers taxi service in the area 24 hours a day, year-round. When you book a transfer at least 48 hours before your arrival or departure, you’ll receive a more affordable, fixed rate. Mohlins Taxi Vemdalen also offers excellent service and fixed rates for transfer routes.

Car Rental
If you’re arriving by plane, it’s easy to continue your journey to Klövsjö by rental car. At Åre Östersund Airport, you can book a rental car through several different rental companies. You can also book a rental car that’s waiting at the train station in Röjan when you arrive by train.
